This study gives an insight into the working and living conditions of part time domestic workers in Jaipur. It highlights the vulnerabilities of the domestic workers who belong to the poorer and uneducated section of the society. The study has been undertaken as a step towards organizing them in Jaipur and enabling them to negotiate terms and conditions of their work.

This study discusses different dimensions of domestic work and presents findings of the research undertaken on the working conditions of part-time women domestic workers in Delhi. The dignity of domestic work; rights, social security and welfare of domestic workers are themes central to this discussion.
